After several weeks of various computer issues, I am finally up & running again. iPhoto finds my photos, the Mac doesn't freeze, my new external hard drive is ready to save me in case of any emergencies. It's good to feel golden (knock on wood, though).
I've also spent the last several weeks doing some fun things -- the highlight being Abby and Jeni's visit during the first week in May. During their 4 days in Atlanta, we realized how much of a foodie city Atlanta is, with its many stellar options, from the farmer's markets to the restaurants to the martinis. We also discovered the new and improved Atlanta Botanical Garden, which was a complete surprise and absolutely on my list to take visitors now. Jeni and I were completely spoiled by Abby, who made something fabulous for dinner each night. Abs, Jen - thanks so much for coming down!
In other news, fewer computer issues also means I've had a chance to update my 365 blog (still going strong on taking a photo a day). Check it out
here.
John is visiting now - and spoiling me just like Abby did, with fresh-cooked dinners each night (grilled on the Weber charcoal grill, of course). I have a few days off and the weather has turned warmer just in time (I felt truly like a Southerner when it was 60 degrees out for the last few days and I pulled out a coat!). We may just take a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains and discover some of what our new "backyard" has to offer.
