Since November, I've helped host two baby showers. Now, I'm onto my third party-planning adventure: a wedding shower for a co-worker of mine in late February. I am enjoying thinking of different, fun details for these events, particularly fresh off of my own wedding shower experiences last year.
There is one thing that I consistently include in all parties that I am involved in - even our wedding! That "signature item" is custom water bottles. I first did this back in 2006, and I have loved creating water bottles ever since. I vary up the designs each time, playing with cardstock, decorative tape, duct tape, stickers and more to create something unique for each event. Here are a few of the ideas from parties of the past.

The other party detail I'm enjoying lately is stripey straws, particularly those from Shop Sweet Lulu. They are inexpensive and eye catching. I put a few leftover straws from the most recent shower in a mason jar and kept it out on our kitchen counter for some color.
