We started a tradition last year of a winter travel exchange. John heads to Minnesota to spend the weekend outdoors with my dad, while my mom flies to Atlanta for some time with me. Last week, we did our 2nd annual flip flop.
MINNESOTA
John's dad and Bob joined John and my dad for their winter sports adventures this year. They couldn't snowmobile due to the lack of snow in Minnesota, so they went ice fishing near Hibbing, MN with some members of my extended family.
ATLANTA
We were up for trying something new, so my mom and I drove north to Western North Carolina. This area, which is about 3 hours away, is full of treasures - quaint cities, artsy shops, local beer and tasty food. We explored several of the towns around Asheville, focusing on finding unique art galleries (the not-so-fancy-but-rather-eclectic-and-home-decor type).
Emma is very spoiled when Mom comes to Atlanta and this weekend was no exception. Mom took things to a new level by inviting Emma onto the bed!! This is Emma's first time EVER on furniture. She, of course, thought it was fabulous. Mom did too and - I have to admit - same here. Emma can be a great cuddler.
