We are half-way through a busy and fun month. Here are some recent photos of the day.
Our neighbors gave us an herb plant and we have managed to keep it alive to get at least one crop out of it. I made parsley pesto with fresh herbs - yum.
Parsley Pesto
Adapted from O Magazine
4 c. fresh parsley
4 c. fresh basil
4 cloves of garlic
1 1/2 c. olive oil
Combine in food processor, slowly adding olive oil.
We then mixed our pesto with grilled chicken, pasta and feta cheese.
Our dogs started eating rocks, instead of sticks.
We celebrated "Saze de Mayo" on Sunday the 6th with grilled bruschetta and Coronas. It is already feeling like summer here.
We got a happy package - our finished pillows and curtains, made by my aunt Barb from the fabric I brought with her and Jenna in January. We liked all of it more than when we got it.
We hung out at the Smyrna's Jonquil Festival with our neighbors. Emma got to come along for one of her first public outings. The kids loved her (and she loved them).
